Muere Max von Sydow, legendario actor, conocido por su rol en "El Exorcista" y "Flash Gordon". 1929-2020



El actor sueco Max von Sydow ha muerto a los 90 años, como han confirmado sus representantes a Deadline. Por el momento, se desconoce la causa de la muerte, que se lleva a un intérprete con más de seis décadas de carrera, en las que le dio tiempo a pasar por franquicias megalómanas y por algunas de las producciones más influyentes de la historia del cine y la televisión.
Von Sydow dio el pistoletazo de salida a su extensa filmografía con producciones suecas, entre las que destacan sus colaboraciones con el eterno Ingmar Bergman, con quien materializó tótems del séptimo arte como "El séptimo sello", "Fresas salvajes" o "El manantial de la doncella", entre muchas otras. Y tras unas atareadas décadas de los cincuenta y sesenta en su país de origen, el intérprete arrancó la de los setenta bajo las órdenes de John Huston en "La carta del Kremlin", que sería una las tantas incursiones en Hollywood que compaginaría con las producciones suecas.
En 1973, daría vida al Padre Merrin en "El exorcista", demostrando el interés que tenían depositado en él los directores del Nuevo Hollywood, como John Milius, que contó con von Sydow para ser uno de los protagonistas de "Conan, el bárbaro". De ahí en adelante, formó parte del elenco de títulos tan memorables como "Evasión o victoria", "Flash Gordon", "Hannah y sus hermanas", "Dune" o "Pelle el conquistador", que le valió su primera nominación al Oscar en 1989. La segunda sería por "Tan fuerte, tan cerca" en 2012, reflejando su vigencia en la industria actual con producciones como "Shutter Island" o "Star Wars: El despertar de la fuerza".

Leyenda de Poniente

Aunque la mayor parte de su carrera transcurrió en la gran pantalla, von Sydow también dedicó parte de su tiempo a la televisión. Su trabajo más reciente en ese ámbito, y quizá el más recordado, no es otro que el de Cuervo de tres ojos en la sexta temporada de 'Juego de Tronos', en la que jugó un papel muy trascendental en la trama de Bran Stark. Además, también prestó su voz en un capítulo de 'Los Simpson' en 2014 y contó con un rol recurrente en la tercera temporada de 'Los Tudor'.
